What we collect, and why.

Best Recruitment Agencies is run by Blankk Ventures Pte. Ltd., Singapore, which is responsible for the personal data described here. We handle it under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act and, for people in the UK and the EU, the UK GDPR and the GDPR. We build firm profiles from public sources: firm websites and careers pages, public job boards (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable), company registries (such as US state registries, Companies House, the Handelsregister, ACRA, the Hong Kong Companies Registry, ABN Lookup and the Philippine SEC), public agency licence lists (NYC DCWP, Singapore MOM, Hong Kong Labour Department) and links to Google Business profiles, whose reviews we don't copy. This is information about businesses, not private individuals. We don't publish the names of a firm's clients or candidates.

For firms and employers in the UK and the EU, we process personal data under the UK GDPR and the GDPR, and in Australia, Hong Kong and the Philippines under the Privacy Act 1988, the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance and the Data Privacy Act of 2012. Our lawful basis for public firm data is legitimate interest; for briefs and claims it is your consent or the service you asked us for.

We collect your name, work email and role so we can verify that you work at the firm and let you manage its profile. We use your email to sign you in and to send you briefs and service messages about your profile. Terms, placements and other details you add are published on the profile; your personal contact details are not.

We collect the role details you give us plus your name, work email and, optionally, your company. We share the brief, including your contact details, only with the firms it's routed to, so they can reply. We don't publish briefs.

Survey answers are linked to a firm only so each firm answers once. They are never shown individually or tied to a firm in the report, and ranges are only published when enough firms have answered.

Agreeing to hear about TalentSourcer AI is separate, optional and unticked by default. Saying no changes nothing. If you agree, we send those emails ourselves; your details aren't passed on to the sponsor. You can unsubscribe from any email, or write to us, at any time.

Anyone can ask us to correct a profile using the "Request a correction" form on that profile. The same form, or an email to [email protected], works for removal requests and for access to or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. We store the email you give us with a correction so we can reply.

We use service providers to host the site, store data and send email. They process data on our behalf and only for that purpose. Some of them store data outside Singapore; we only use providers that protect it to a comparable standard. We don't sell personal data, and we don't use advertising trackers.
